Payment platform ryd is bringing mobile payment to around 1,800 Aral petrol stations. Aral customers can now pay for fuel nationwide directly from their cars using the app.

With around 2,400 petrol stations, Aral has the largest petrol station network in Germany. With this cooperation, customers can now pay for their fuel fillings directly from their cars via app and on-board computer. EV charging and car washes payments will also be available through the platform.

“With the ryd app, our customers can pay for fuel at the pump quickly and easily via app. We are thus expanding our digital offer and enabling our customers to pay with ryd even with the first compatible on-board computers from their cars. I am looking forward to the cooperation,” says Philipp Traeder, Head of Aral Marketing.

With the connection to Aral, ryd is expanding its connected petrol station network in Germany.

“We could not ring in the year better than with such a great cooperation as with Aral. The go-live of the Aral petrol stations in Germany is an important milestone for ryd for nationwide in-app and in-car payment and underlines our claim to be the European market leader.” Uli Kiendl, CEO at ryd GmbH.

More and more Aral stations are being equipped with REWE To Go shops, offering customers a large and quality range of fresh snacks and hot meals.
